Having a job means the world to most of us, especially during the holiday season. Unfortunately, people with disabilities find themselves twice as likely to be unemployed than their non-disabled peers, and are hit hardest by a struggling economy.
Paul, pictured with son Boden, is one of hundreds of people living with multiple sclerosis (MS) in Monroe County. MS is an unpredictable, debilitating disease that eventually caused him to lose his job.
Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, Paul was referred to our OneSource Solutions program and trained in its Janitorial Services group. Today, Paul is thankful because he lives on his own, pays for medical treatment, and most importantly, supports his six-year-old son.
Sadly, there are so many people in need of employment. When you support our 2013-2014 Annual Appeal, you help more people like Paul to achieve renewed self-confidence and independence through work. Please consider a donation today. Gifts of all sizes make a tremendous difference and are tax-deductible.
Enjoy the wonders of this holiday season!
