Sled Hockey

Sled Hockey

Introduced to the community by SportsNet in 2001, this adapted form of ice hockey can be played either on ice or in the gym. An excellent sport for people with good upper body strength, sled hockey offers a superior work out. The Sled Hockey season includes weekly practice sessions in which players build skills and can work towards team competitive play or play at a recreational pace.

In 2008, Ray Maluta accepted the coaching position for the USA Disabled Youth Sled Hockey Team. Additionally, we are working with our partners in the Buffalo area to rebuild SportsNet’s youth and adult sled hockey program.
