Outrigger Canoeing

Outrigger canoe paddling photo

Outrigger canoeing provides a wonderful way to experience the outdoors, play on the water, and get great exercise - all in the social setting of an 8 person boat.

An outrigger canoe is the most stable boat that you can paddle. Step into this canoe with confidence, knowing that you will stay dry and steady. The canoe has two hulls that are connected together, similar in style to a catamaran, making it very stable.

A trained steersperson is always in the boat and is responsible for helping you into the boat, steering and directing the canoe, and docking safely. You get to paddle and enjoy the scenery of our beautiful waterways.

Adapted equipment is available, including modified paddles and seats, to meet the needs of the indivdiual. There is also a mechanical hoyer lift on the dock to assist with getting in and out of the boat, if needed.
