SportsNet Announces Wheelchair Fencing Clinic with Rochester Fencing Club
July 25, 2011SportsNet is pleased to announce its first free wheelchair fencing clinic with Rochester Fencing Club. Co-owned by fencing Olympians Iris and Felicia Zimmerman, the Rochester Fencing Club hopes to create a Rochester-based hub for wheelchair fencing. This clinic is for anyone interested in recreational fencing or competitive fencing. (Minimum age is 6 years to participate.)
Details:
Two free wheelchair fencing clinics will be held at 1000 Elmwood Avenue (door 1) in the gym: Wednesday, August 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, August 6 from Noon to 4 p.m. Participants must pre-register by Friday, July 29. A registration flyer under Helpful Resources to the right may be downloaded and completed.
