Dialogue On Disability Celebrates Amazing Lives

Dialogue on Disability runs January 16 - 23 and is broadcast on WXXI-TV/HD, AM 1370/FM-HD 91.5-2, Reachout Radio and Community Cinema. Sponsored by Al Sigl Community of Agencies, the program celebrates the amazing lives of people with disabilities.
Rochester Rehabilitation, a member agency of the Al Sigl Community of Agencies is pleased to participate in three Dialogue on Disability segments.
Monday, Jan 17 at 1 pm - Inclusion Roundtable hosted by Bob Smith - Nancy Steinkamp, Manager, Physical Rehabilitation Services
Guests on this segment include: Dr. Al Condeluci, UCP Pittsburgh executive director and advocate for people with disabilities; Brian Klafehn, CP Rochester president/CEO and Joyce Weir CP Rochester board member.
Thursday, Jan 20 at 1 pm - Connections hosted by Bob Smith - Nyla Gaylord, Director, Counseling and Employment Services
Nyla will discuss meaningful work and how important work is for our mind, body and social connectedness. Bill McDonald, Medical Motor Services executive director will also speak to what accessibility means to people and relate it to health and wellness.
Friday, Jan 21 at Noon – Healthy Fridays - Nancy Steinkamp, Manager, Physical Rehabilitation Services
Nancy will share information on how people with a disability or medical condition can decrease stress and achieve a better balance in their life. In addition she will give tips on how to involve sports and recreation activities into your lifestyle. Nancy will be joined by Lora Winghart, director of outpatient clinic services, CP Rochester.
Dialogue on Disability – a partnership between WXXI and Al Sigl Community of Agencies is designed to stimulate community dialogue about the perspectives and abilities of people with disabilities.
