VENTURES PERSONALIZED RECOVERY ORIENTED SERVICES (PROS) HOSTS SEPTEMBER 21ST OPEN HOUSE FEATURING NEWLY RENOVATED SCHWARTZ HALL
Rochester, NY – September 11, 2011 – Rochester Rehabilitation’s Ventures PROS is holding an Open House at their newly renovated space in Schwartz Hall on Wolk Campus located at 975 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, Wednesday, September 21, 2011 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The building houses Ventures Personalized Recovery Oriented Services (PROS), a new program approved by the New York State Office of Mental Health designed to help people overcome mental health challenges, live well and balance life roles. Upon opening last spring, Ventures PROS became Monroe County’s second largest program with nearly 150 participants.
Ann Bergeman, Director of Ventures PROS shares that for many clients who face mental health challenges, taking first steps can be difficult. Facility changes on all three Schwartz Hall floors were made in step with the new PROS program roll-out. Improvements include new on-site clinical offices for therapists and psychiatrists and community meeting areas to help further social ability.
Renovated classrooms offer basic living skills courses. An expanded training kitchen and a renovated computer lab tap into the strong vocational track record established by Rochester Rehabilitation.
On September 21st guests can meet the Ventures PROS team, tour the renovated space in Schwartz Hall, visit the updated Farmhouse, learn about Venture PROs service offerings, and enjoy complimentary food and beverages.
