Partial Hospitalization is a short term, intensive level of day treatment for individuals, approximately 55 years old and older, who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness.
The program provides closely medically supervised services to individuals who can be safely managed in an outpatient setting so that hospitalization can be avoided or considerably shortened.
The Partial Hospitalization program is a highly structured, supportive, and non-threatening treatment setting which facilitates a decrease in symptoms and behaviors associated with mental illness.
Special emphasis is given to helping older persons adjust to aging, age-related losses, and cognitive and physical changes in functioning.
Multiple mental health issues are treated and may include:
- Major Depression
- Manic-depressive Illness
- Anxiety Disorders
- Paranoid Disorders
- Schizophrenia
- Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders
- Early Dementia

- Crisis Intervention - 24 hour on call service
The Staff
The Partial Hospitalization staff includes professionals trained in psychiatry, social work, art therapy, psychiatric nursing, psychology, and counseling services. All have experience working with older adults recovering from mental illness.
