Sled Hockey

(also known as Sledge Hockey)

Sled Hockey is an ice sport that uses the rules of hockey. SportsNet introduced this sport to the Rochester community.

Instead of skating, a player sits on a specially designed sled and uses two short ice picks to propel across the ice.

It is an excellent sport for people with a mobility disability as well as for people without disabilities.
