NYS Office of Vocational and Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities (VESID) operates the DDP, as a rehabilitation program, primarily for people convicted of alcohol/drug related driving offenses.
A person may enroll in the DDP voluntarily to obtain a conditional license or may be court ordered to attend.
DDP Education
The DDP includes a 16-hour education program over 7 weeks, evenings and Saturday mornings.
Fee
The fee for the program is $200.
How to Get Services
An individual may enroll in the DDP, obtain further information, and class schedules through the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles.
