The Employment Connection
The Employment Connection provides numerous pre- and post-job placement services to people with disabilities or socio-economic disadvantages seeking employment in Monroe County. Job seekers do not pay a fee for service.
Services
Job seekers are taught skills to assist them in finding a job. They participate in employment readiness, job seeking, and job keeping training before they begin their job search. This process may be tailored to meet individual needs.
Career Resource Center
Individuals enrolled at the Employment Connection have free access to the Career Resource Center offering:
- A large variety of career information, training programs, and job opportunities
- Personal computers that allow for self-directed job search activities and self-learning in basic computer usage
The Staff
The Employment Services staff includes professionals trained to work effectively with the employer community as well as with people seeking employment. Many have several years of experience in the job placement arena and are well connected to the employment and training opportunities available in our community. Staff are proficient in English/Spanish.
