Choices - Welfare to Work Services
The Choices Program, located at The Employment Connection, assists Welfare recepients and people who are HIV positive obtain and retain work by working with people to:
- Prepare them for the demands and expectations of a job
- Sucessfully manage personal responsibilities as they increase their self-sufficiency
Eligibility
- For Welfare Recipients: Referrals from the Department of Human Services or Rochester Works
- For HIV Positive Recipients: Gross income that does not exceed the Department of Labor eligibility levels. Contact the Employment Connection for more information.

The Staff
The Employment Services staff includes professionals trained to work effectively with the employer community as well as with people seeking employment. Many have several years of experience in the job placement arena and are well connected to the employment and training opportunities available in our community. Staff are proficient in English/Spanish.
