Driver Evaluation
A driver evaluation assesses the following:
- A person's ability to drive a vehicle safely, with or without adaptive equipment
- A person's ability to become an independent driver or resume independent driving
- Physical limitations (e.g. seating, positioning and wheelchair needs, and cognitive or visual problems)
- Whether an individual requires special equipment or corrective strategies for driving
- Knowledge of traffic safety rules and defensive driving techniques
The evaluation includes behind-the-wheel driving capabilities in various traffic environments.
The evaluation process averages 3-6 hours to complete.
